Terms of Service

These terms govern services provided by HGV ONE LOGISTICS LTD ("we"). By booking a job with us you accept these terms.

1. Conditions of carriage

All road haulage performed by us is subject to the Road Haulage Association ("RHA") Conditions of Carriage 2024 (or the latest version at the date of carriage), which are incorporated by reference. A copy is available on request.

2. Quotes and bookings

Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. A booking is confirmed when we issue a confirmation reference. We reserve the right to decline jobs at our discretion.

3. Liability

Our liability for loss or damage is limited per the RHA Conditions of Carriage. For high-value consignments, additional cover should be arranged in writing before collection.

4. Hazardous and prohibited goods

You must declare hazardous goods, perishables, livestock, currency, jewellery, and other restricted items in advance. Undeclared restricted goods are carried at your sole risk.

5. Pickup and delivery

You must ensure goods are properly packaged, labelled, and ready for collection at the agreed time. Waiting time beyond 30 minutes may incur charges.

6. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion. Account customers may have 14 or 30-day terms after credit approval. Late payment attracts statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

7. Cancellation

Cancellations made after a vehicle has been dispatched may incur a charge to cover the dispatched leg. We will endeavour to mitigate any such charge.

8. Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, road closures, industrial action, or government restrictions.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
